All contestants must be aged 18 or over. Information about the progress of the competition can be found on the award-winning Godolphin Internet site. His selections were Sulamani (115 points), Firebreak (95), Gonfilia (72), Rule Of Law (100), Byron (37), Dubawi (60) and My Dubai (4). Zdecydowanie pierwszy favoryt do Derby (u bookmacherów). To jeśli chodzi o trzylatki........

Z takiej symulacyjnej gierki Dubawi nieco przegrywa (ok 2dł) i pewnie dlatego Shamardal trafił do Godolphin. Jakie wnioski.

GODOLPHIN TRIPLE CROWN NOMINATIONS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Godolphin has made six nominations this year for the Triple Crown races in America.
They are Dubai Dreamer, Esquire, Happy As Larry, Masquerader, Oude and Shamardal.
No decisions about possible participation will be made until nearer the time.
The three races that comprise the Triple Crown are:
The 131st Kentucky Derby - Churchill Downs, Saturday, May 7, 10f (Dirt) The 130th Preakness Stakes - Pimlico, Saturday, May 21, 9.5f (Dirt) The 137th Belmont Stakes, Belmont Park, Saturday, June 11, 12f (Dirt)
DUBAI DREAMER (USA) The American-bred Dubai Dreamer is the half-brother to two winners in the USA while his dam, Blacktie Bid, was a stakes winner. On the grey's sole start during 2004 on October 28, Dubai Dreamer finished second to King's Majesty, beaten a length and a half, in a seven-furlong maiden race on Lingfield Park's all-weather track in England.
ESQUIRE (GB) By Dubai Millennium, Esquire is out of the mare Esperada who was champion juvenile filly in Argentina in 1997. After finishing sixth on his debut over a mile at Kempton Park, England, on September 3, he improved considerably to win over seven furlongs at Newbury, England later the same month when he quickened away to score by a length and three quarters.
HAPPY AS LARRY (USA) Happy As Larry is by American-based stallion Yes It's True and he has run once, making an impressive debut over seven furlongs on the all-weather track at Lingfield Park, England, on October 13 when he overcame a slow start to score decisively by two and a half lengths.
MASQUERADER (USA) Masquerader's sire is the 1990 Kentucky Derby winner Unbridled. The half-brother to three winners in the USA, he appeared unsuited by the soft ground when seventh on his debut in a seven-furlong maiden at York, England, in July - his only start to date.
OUDE (USA) Oude, also by Dubai Millennium, is a half-brother to Well Chosen, winner of the Grade One Ashland Stakes at Keeneland, USA, in 1998. Last season Oude made three appearances in England at seven furlongs - a winning debut at Newmarket in July, then finishing runner-up, beaten a neck, to Elliots World in the Listed Acomb Stakes at York the following month and his final appearance of 2004 saw him finish three lengths third to Etlaala in the Group Two Champagne Stakes at Doncaster in September.
SHAMARDAL (USA) Shamardal was officially rated the best two-year-old in Europe last season after being unbeaten in three starts. The colt, from the first crop of Giant's Causeway, is out of Helsinki, the full-sister to Godolphin's 2002 Dubai World Cup winner Street Cry. He could not have been more impressive when winning by eight lengths on his debut over six furlongs at Ayr, Scotland, in July. He then stepped up in class and distance to contest the seven-furlong Vintage Stakes at Goodwood, England, later in the month when he won the Group Two contest with authority by two and a half lengths from subsequent Breeders' Cup Juvenile winner Wilko. Newmarket, England, was the scene of Shamardal's final appearance of 2004 when he was successful by two and a half lengths from Oratorio in the Group One Darley Dewhurst Stakes over seven furlongs in October.
================================================
I cóż to oznacza ????

989 Horses Entered for World's Richest Day of Racing Richard Mandella, trainer of last year's Dubai World Cup (Gr.I) winner Pleasantly Perfect, looks set to return for the tenth running of the US$6,000,000 Dubai World Cup (Gr.I), sponsored by Emirates Airline.
Mandella, who had challengers in the first five runnings of the Dubai World Cup (Gr.I), has entered Rock Hard Ten, runner-up in the Preakness Stakes (Gr.I) and a recent winner of the Malibu Stakes (Gr.I) at Santa Anita. Mandella has also nominated Minister Eric and Congrats.
The world's richest day of racing, with US$15,250,000 in prize money, takes place at Nad Al Sheba Racecourse on Saturday, March 26th 2005.
The Dubai World Cup day, which features four Group One races and two Group Two races for Thoroughbreds and a Group One for Purebred Arabians, attracted 989 nominations from 21 countries.
Mr Saeed H. Al-Tayer, Chairman of the Dubai Racing Club, said, "We are all looking forward to the Dubai World Cup and are very excited by the quality of horses from around the world that have been nominated for all of the races on March 26th.
"The Dubai World Cup, sponsored by Emirates Airline, is the culmination of the 2005 Dubai International Racing Carnival, which begins at Nad Al Sheba Racecourse on Thursday evening and will present 10 weeks of exciting international competition in the build up to Dubai World Cup day.
"I would like to thank all of our sponsors who help to make the Dubai World Cup such a memorable night."
Roses in May, trained by Dale Romans, looks likely to make the trip to Dubai for the Dubai World Cup (Gr.I). The five-year-old Whitney Handicap (Gr.I) winner finished runner-up to Ghostzapper in the Breeders' Cup Classic (Gr.I) on his last start.
Lundy's Liability, winner of the 2004 UAE Derby (Gr.II), is now in training with Bobby Frankel in America and could return to Nad Al Sheba for a crack at the Dubai World Cup (Gr.I). Brazilian-bred Lundy's Liability has run twice since last March including a win in a Santa Anita Grade II.
Godolphin, winners of the Dubai World Cup (Gr.I) on four occasions with: Almutawakel (1999), Dubai Millennium (2000), Street Cry (2002) and Moon Ballad (2003), have entered 11 horses including Ruler's Court and Cherry Mix, a half length second to Bago in the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Gr.I).
Trainer Jerry Barton, who has sent a team to Dubai to compete in the Dubai International Racing Carnival, has entered Petit Paris, three quarters of a length second to Lundy's Liability in the UAE Derby (Gr.II), for the Dubai World Cup (Gr.I).
Europe is well represented in the nominations with Aidan O'Brien entering the globetrotting Powerscourt, winner of the Tattersalls Gold Cup (Gr.I) at the Curragh. The five-year-old also raced in England, Germany, America, Japan and Hong Kong last season.
Andrew Balding could be represented by his 2004 Hong Kong Vase (Gr.I) winner Phoenix Reach, who also won the 2003 running of the Canadian International (Gr.I). Germany-based trainer Andreas Schutz has nominated his Singapore International Cup (Gr.I) winner Epalo, who also finished third in the Arlington Million (Gr.I) in Chicago.
Japan has been a great supporter of the Dubai World Cup (Gr.I) and came within three lengths of a win when To The Victory finished second to Captain Steve in 2001. This year Japan has entered 14 horses including the winner of the Japan Cup Dirt (Gr.I) Time Paradox, trained by Hiroyoshi Matsuda.
Right Approach, who dead-heated for first place with Paolini in the 2004 Dubai Duty Free (Gr.I), heads the list of entries for the 2005 US$2,000,000 Dubai Duty Free (Gr.I), sponsored by Dubai Duty Free, over 1,777 metres on the turf.
Australia is well represented in the Dubai Duty Free (Gr.I) with the Caulfield 1,000 Guineas winner Alinghi, trained by Lee Freedman, and the Caulfield Cup (Gr.I) and Emirates Airline Underwood Stakes (Gr.I) winner Elvstroem, trained by Tony Vasil.
Trainer Mark Johnston has entered Attraction, who was one of the leading fillies in Europe last season, winning both the English 1,000 Guineas (Gr.I) and the Irish 1,000 Guineas (Gr.I). The filly ended her season with a win in the Group One Sun Chariot Stakes at Newmarket.
Jim Bolger has entered his Hong Kong Cup (Gr.I) winner Alexander Goldrun, who also won the Prix de l'Opera (Gr.I) at Longchamp during Arc weekend.
Dual Melbourne Cup (Gr.I) winner Makybe Diva, trained by Lee Freedman, has been nominated to run in the US$2,000,000 Dubai Sheema Classic (Gr.I), sponsored by Nakheel, over 2,400 metres on the turf.
Makybe Diva could be joined by the Saeed bin Suroor pair of Papineau, winner of the Ascot Gold Cup (Gr.I), and the Epsom Derby (Gr.I) runner-up and St Leger (Gr.I) winner Rule of Law.
Mike de Kock has entered his multiple South African Group One winner Grey's Inn, winner of the Durban July (Gr.I) at Greyville.
Our New Recruit, trained by John Sadler, looks set to return to Nad Al Sheba to defend his title in the US$2,000,000 Dubai Golden Shaheen (Gr.I), sponsored by Gulf News, over the straight 1,200 meters.
Candidato Roy, South Africa's champion two-year-old colt, also trained by Mike de Kock, has been entered for the US$2,000,000 UAE Derby (Gr.II), sponsored by Saeed & Mohammed Al Naboodah Group. The UAE Derby (Gr.II) attracted 132 entries from 12 countries.
Firebreak, trained by Saeed bin Suroor, will be looking for a hat trick of wins in the US$1,000,000 Godolphin Mile (Gr.II), sponsored by Jebel Ali International Hotels. Firebreak may be joined in the race by the Satish Seemar-trained Little Jim, who finished third in the 2004 UAE Derby (Gr.II) after winning the UAE 2,000 Guineas (Gr.III) in February.
Gillian Duffield's Kaolino will bid to defend the US$250,000 Dubai Kahayla Classic (Gr.I) for Purebred Arabians. The 2004 champion is joined in the nominations by the 2003 Dubai Kahayla Classic (Gr.I) winner Bopp Moon.
