1- Juanma Lillo and Inigo Domínguez, the current second and third coaches at Sevilla FC, have coached Real Sociedad in the past. Lillo was in charge at the end of the 2007-08 season and the following season, 2008-09 while Igo Domínguez was head coach of our womens team.
2- Real Sociedad played their 2,000th game in the First Division against Sevilla. That match took place on 10 September 2006.
3- And curiously, it was also against the Sevillistas that Real Sociedad brought up their 2,000th goal in the top flight. It was scored by Larraaga on 13 January 1990.

5- The first official meeting between the two clubs in LaLiga was played in San Sebastián on 10 February 1935. That first meeting ended in a goalless draw.
6- Striker Darko Kovacevic made his Real Sociedad debut against Sevilla on 1 September 1996. Mutiu Adepoju also made his debut in that game.
7- During a Real Sociedad & Sevilla match in the 2011-12 season, Rubén Pardo scored his first txuri urdin goal.
8- The biggest win in this fixture came in 1949-50. The realistas won 5-0 with goals from Epi, Caeiro, Basabe and Pérez Payá (2).
9- Eusebio Sacristán made his debut as Real Sociedad in a meeting with Sevilla and celebrated the occasion with a 2-0 win.
