Austria's former world number one Thomas Muster is bidding to return to tennis's elite circuit - 11 years after he last played a professional match.
Muster, 42, won the French Open in 1995 and held the number one ranking in February 1996. Despite not having played on the ATP circuit since 1999 he claims he never officially retired.
The Austrian is set to compete in a challenger tournament in Brunswick, Germany next week.
Muster said, "At the time all I said was I was going on holiday, so now I'm back from my holiday."
